Experiential Tools for Clinical Practice

Overview

This 2-hour experiential workshop offers practical, accessible tools for therapists to use in self-care and clinical settings. We will explore simple breathing techniques from yoga and mindfulness traditions, informed by current research on nervous-system regulation. Participants will also experience a short restorative

yoga nidra practice designed to support rest, embodiment, and integration to close the event.

• Experiential lessons to practice at home

Learning Objectives

• Explore foundational breath awareness practices and current patterns

• Experience simple breathing techniques that support nervous-system regulation

• Learn distinctions between activating and calming breath patterns for yourself and your clients

• Reflect on the role of breath awareness in therapeutic presence and self-regulation out in life
